Carnival Corp. and its cruise lines will donate at least 5 million to various international organizations (from the American Red Cross to UNICEF) to help with relief efforts in Haiti. The donation includes a direct corporate contribution along with funds raised through various campaigns coordinated by Carnival’s cruise brands.

Marriott reports that renovations are underway at its 274-room Marriott Napa Valley Hotel & Spa in Calif., including a makeover of its guestrooms. Meanwhile, crews are rehabbing an existing oceanfront condo/hotel in Pompano Beach, Fla., into an 88-suite Residence Inn property by next month.

The 119-room Raffles L’Ermitage Beverly Hills will undergo refurbishments this year as it transitions into the Viceroy Beverly Hills.
