Continental Airlines matched Delta’s new higher fees for checked luggage (23 for the first bag and 32 for the second bag paid in advance online, or 25 and 34 paid at the airport).
American Airlines and its oneworld airline alliance partners British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, and Qantas Airways (an OSSN supplier member!) released a new proposal for 2 billion in commercial benefits to help Japan Airlines over the next three years, in return for JAL’s move from the Skyteam airline network (led by Delta) to oneworld.
Lufthansa plans to launch flights from Frankfurt and Munich to Baghdad and Erbil in Iraq this summer. Comments
