Hilton - an OSSN supplier member! – welcomed the new 138-room Hampton Inn and Suites (pictured) on Georgia’s Jekyll Island. The beachfront hotel features a lobby bar, a large pool area with a pool deck plus a kids pool and a hot tub, and other amenities for guests. See the hotel’s Web page. Also, the company will open the 238-room Doubletree by Hotel Resort, Kos-Helona on the Greek isle of Kos this May. The property (converted from an existing hotel) will offer two restaurants and bars, a private beach, a spa and fitness center, and other services as the first Doubletree location in Greece. Starwood - an OSSN supplier member! – added its first Element location in New Jersey this month with the opening of the 127-room Element Ewing (in Ewing, N.J.). The hotel offers a 24-hour guest pantry, a fitness center, a pool, and other features. See www.elementhotels.com.
Hyatt - an OSSN supplier member! – will manage three new properties being built in China’s Jiangsu Province. The 350-room Hyatt Regency Wuxi and the 350-room Hyatt Regency Xuzhou will open in 2012, while the 400-room Grand Hyatt Nanjing will debut a year later. See www.hyatt.com.
Rosewood Hotels will manage an existing hotel in Vancouver as it’s restored and converted to the 154-room Rosewood Hotel Georgia. The historic property will re-open early next year with a signature restaurant, a spa, an indoor pool, a nightclub, and other services.
